Ellesmere PortSnooker League

Code of conduct

Guide

The EPSL is a friendly league. This is what we expect of everyone who plays in it.

Adopted Monday 19 October 2026.

Section 1At the club

  1. Every player and supporter is subject to the rules of the club they're visiting.

  2. Treat opponents, team-mates, referees and club members with respect, win or lose.

  3. Accept the referee's decisions. If you disagree, your captain can raise it afterwards.

  4. Keep noise down and don't move about in a player's line of sight while they're on a shot.

  5. Look after the tables and equipment.

Section 2Online

  1. The league's WhatsApp groups and Facebook group are for league business and good-natured chat.

  2. Raise problems in a shared, respectful way, as agreed at the 2026 AGM. If it's about a particular person, speak to a committee member rather than posting it.

  3. Offensive posts about a player or team, including foul language, will be removed and raised with the committee. Action can range from a warning to expulsion from the league.

Section 3Complaints

  1. Take any complaint to a League officer as soon as possible. It will be raised at the next committee meeting.

  2. Anyone complained about can put their side to the committee before a decision is made.

  3. The committee can give a warning, deduct points, suspend, or expel a player or team.

If in doubt, ask the secretary.
